This traditional Spanish dessert is a nice compliment to any Paella dinner. It can be made ahead of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<!--WPRM Recipe 1364-->\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n\t<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Spanish Flan<\/h2>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-image\" src=\"https:\/\/designkyn.com\/growers-table\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/flan1-225x300-1-150x150.jpg\"\/>\t<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n\t\t<ul><li>1 cup granulated sugar<\/li><li>4 large eggs<\/li><li>1\u00a0\u2013 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk<\/li><li>1\u00a0\u2013 12 oz can evaporated milk<\/li><li>1 tbsp vanilla extract<\/li><\/ul>\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n\t\t<ol><li><p>Place the sugar in a heavy saucepan and heat over medium-low heat until the sugar completely dissolves and forms a nice golden brown syrup.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Carefully pour the hot sugar syrup into the bottom of 6 ramekins (if you want individual desserts), or you can use an 8 or 9-inch round, glass baking dish to make one large flan.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Immediately swirl dish to evenly cover bottom with the syrup mixture. It will harden very fast, so work quickly.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Whisk the eggs in a large bowl until well blended.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Add the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract; whisk to combine thoroughly. It\u2019s important to make sure that the eggs are fully incorporated into the other ingredients.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Pour the egg and milk mixture over the sugar syrup in the ramekins or baking dish.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Cover with foil and place in a hot water bath \u2013 place the baking dish inside another oven-proof dish and fill with water until it comes about halfway up the side of the baking dish.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 F oven for approximately 60 minutes; the flan is ready when a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Cool completely.<\/p><\/li><li><p>When ready to serve, run a knife around edges, then place plate, upside down, over the top of the flan; invert quickly.
