I had never tried a Georgia peach but I knew they had quite the reputation for being very sweet. I bought a 25 lb. carton, 2 bags of Georgia pecans and their cookbook. Those peaches were fantastic and this pie was delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pie crust recipe I use is<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/thegrowerstable.com\/homemade-pie-crust\/\" target=\"_blank\">&nbsp;here<\/a>&nbsp;and it is very easy to make as well. This is my favorite crust recipe for both pies and cobblers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--WPRM Recipe 1329-->\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n\t<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Custard Peach Pie<\/h2>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-image\" src=\"https:\/\/designkyn.com\/growers-table\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/peach-pie-150x150.jpg\"\/>\t<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n\t\t<p>An easy pie which can be made with fresh or canned peaches topped with a streusel topping<\/p>\t<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t<ul><li>Electric mixer<\/li><\/ul>\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n\t\t<ul><li>1 single pie crust pastry<\/li><li>1 cup (8 oz)\u00a0Plain Greek Yogurt<\/li><li>3 large egg yolks<\/li><li>5 medium size peackes (1 1\/2 lbs)\u00a0or 2 cans of 29 oz peaches, drained<\/li><li>1\/4 cup \u00a0flour<\/li><li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li><\/ul><h4>Streusel Topping<\/h4><ul><li>1\/4 cup butter\u00a01\/2 stick = 1\/4 cup<\/li><li>1\/3 cup flour<\/li><li>1\/8 cup sugar<\/li><li>1\/4 cup sliced almonds\u00a0(optional)<\/li><\/ul>\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n\t\t<h4>Assemble The Pie<\/h4><ol><li><p>Peel and slice peaches and place them over the bottom of the pie crust.<\/p><\/li><li><p>In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, flour, egg yolks, vanilla until blended and pour over peaches.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h4>Bake The Pie<\/h4><ol><li><p>Bake Pie for 30 minutes or until custard is beginning to set.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Meanwhile, make the streusel topping by cutting butter into the flour and then continue until until the mixture looks like fine crumbs.; mix in the sugar.<\/p><\/li><li><p>After 30 minues, remove the pie from the oven and sprinkle in the streusel over the center of the pie. I added the sliced almonds to the outside edge of the pie.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Bake for 15 more minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Cool pie on wire rack for an hour; serve warm.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta-course\">Dessert<\/div><div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta-cuisine\">American<\/div><div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta-keyword\">peach pie, custard<\/div>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!--End WPRM Recipe-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Peach Truck arrived in Dallas last weekend bringing fresh Georgia peaches.
