I served this with a side of curry couscous and steamed green beans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<!--WPRM Recipe 1139-->\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n\t<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Braised Moroccan Style Chicken<\/h2>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-image\" src=\"https:\/\/designkyn.com\/growers-table\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/moraccan-chicken-2-150x150.gif\"\/>\t<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n\t\t<p>A flavorful, healthy and easy chicken entree.<\/p>\t<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t<ul><li>Skillet<\/li><\/ul>\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n\t\t<ul><li>3 tbsp olive oil<\/li><li>8 boneless chicken thighs<\/li><li>salt + fresh black pepper to taste<\/li><li>1\/4 tsp ground cinnamon<\/li><li>1\/4 tsp ground cumin<\/li><li>2 cloves\u00a0garlic\u00a0peeled + chopped<\/li><li>1 onion\u00a0peeled + sliced<\/li><li>2 cup stewed tomatoes\u00a0chopped (or drained canned italian tomatoes)<\/li><li>2 cup mixed green and black olives<\/li><li>1 small can\u00a0tomato paste<\/li><li>1 juice of an orange\u00a0freshly squeezed<\/li><li>1 cup chicken broth<\/li><li>1\/2 cup \u00a0pitted dried raisins<\/li><li>1\/2 cup dried pitted apricots<\/li><li>1 bay leaf<\/li><\/ul>\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n\t\t<ol><li><p>Heat 2 tablespoons oil over medium high heat in a deep, heavy skillet. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, cinnamon &amp; cumin on both sides. Saute the chicken, for approximately 3 \u2013 5 minutes per side, until browned. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Add additional tablespoon of oil to pan, if needed and saute garlic and onion for 2 minutes, until translucent.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Add tomatoes, olives, tomato paste, orange juice, chicken stock, raisins, apricots and bay leaf to pan and cook, stirring for 2 \u2013 3 minutes bringing to a simmer.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Add reserved chicken and any accumulated juices to the pan, spooning sauce over chicken.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Cover and braise on a low simmer for 30 minutes, until chicken is tender and cooked through.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Garnish with parsley and serve.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-notes\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta\">\n\t\t<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta-course\">Dinner<\/div><div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta-cuisine\">American, Mediterranean<\/div><div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-meta-keyword\">chicken, olives, tomatoes, raisins, garlic, onions,Mediterranean, easy, fast, low cal, healthy<\/div>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!--End WPRM Recipe-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is an easy and quick weeknight dinner which is packed with flavor.
